Mexico – The Cabo Affair (Part 1)

Masked Up in Mexico

(Post 2020 Lockdowns and the Divorce Finalizing December 2020, the Rogue and I lived three months in Mexico; first of three parts, and after the La Paz post, link below)

February 2021 – After La Paz, the Rogue and I spent another stint at the Hard Rock Cabo (with prepaid weeks that I gave myself as a divorce present) and a few bonus nights at Nobu Cabo. The decadent life in Mexico. Having given up the family home in the divorce, and with a sense of live for today during the pandemic, I was on a wild ride.

After this all-inclusive over the top life style, we sorted out a really cool apartment in San Jose de los Cabos, the quieter sister to the wild Cabo San Lucas. Spacious, just a block to the beach. A much welcome routine formed with the Rogue cooking healthy meals, and we joined a local gym. Got the boxing gloves out again! Had to wear masks while working out which was a challenge.

Felt so good after lockdown restrictions in California. Walked into Old Town a lot for strolls through the colorful streets and tasty flavors of Mexico. I developed an unfortunate (for my waistline) addiction to chilaquiles.

We took day trips into Cabo San Lucas to walk around the marina and eat. No more crazy nights (for now!).
