PANAMA (2022)
Post divorce, mid-empty nest. After three weeks in the Dominican Republic with the Rogue, we enjoyed a long weekend in Panama City before heading back to the States. From the journals.
Feb. 26, 2022 Panama
Today arrived in Panama City from the Dominican Republic. Had delicious dinner at Las Tinajas. Tired from all the action in the DR. I had been busy with a lot of work while there, and a large network of people. Nice to just chill in a hotel room here and catch up.
Russian invasion of Ukraine has been all over the news. (Side note – hard to believe this was over two years ago and it’s still ongoing)
Panama Canal
Panama Canal briefly. Boring with no ships going today.
Parrillada
Lunch at La Hacienda Real https://haciendarealpanama.com/. Delicious parrillada (grilled meats). Guac. Homemade tortillas. Then pool all afternoon – so hot though. Then room service. Talks of next plans with the Rogue.Â
Old Town Cusco
Walked around Old town Cusco. Super colorful. Very hot. Peruvian restaurant Nazcu 21 https://www.myguidepanama.com/restaurants/nazca-21; left my credit card! Had to return.
Pool, then yummy Hacienda Real again. Good times.
Time to head to LA for another round with the Rogue in California.
